Bonsi My Lhasa Apso

Many many years ago
I had a Puppy named Wawa. I used to hold her in my two tiny hands and would say, "kawawa...kawawa".

Wawa was born disabled.  Her hind legs were useless. She would walk using her two front legs and drag the 2 behind, as a result, her bare tummy gets scratched against the floor. Worried,  I asked my mother who was a dressmaker to sew her a skirt to protect her tummy from being scratched.  Wawa eventually died from an infection, she was only 2 months old.
Wawa engraved her name in my heart, it has been 37 years since she passed and her memory still lives in my memory.

 Our Dog Bonsi

We have 3 Lhasas. The youngest is Bonsi.

The big one on the pic is Bonsi. He is the fiercest one.  He's so brave he would run after kids passing by in front of our house. He's so protective of us his family.

What I've Learned from my Lhasa Apso

The oldest Lhasa we have is Drizzle. She is our first baby and she's 7 years old now.

1. Lhasa Apso breed is CLINGY! Literally. They want to hang out with you 24/7. They get lonely when they're alone. This is good if you are a "cuddle person"

2. Spoil them and you're their SLAVE forever. Yes, they are DIVAs.

3. They can communicate. They will give you a certain look when they want to go outside the house.

4. They know how to argue. Talk them out into waiting for a little longer and they would whine.

5. They are the sweetest. They will make you feel loved by swarming around you in the morning.

6. They say Lhasas are not "lapdogs". Well...not my BABIES! They like it when you carry them and sit them on your lap.

7. They bite!

Above all these characteristics I love my Lhasa Apsos so much. They have given me and my family especially my own kids so much joy at home.
